PROGRAM FOR PRIVATE 8 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO SAHARA

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS - KASBAHS TALOUET - AIT BENHADDOU -OUARZAZATE

Departure from Marrakech at 8h30 am by 4×4 towards Atlas mountains the highest in Morocco and discover ancient Berber life crossing Tizi n'Tichka the high pass (2265 m). After you leaving the main route and continue the way to Ounela valley till the small Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui is TALOUET in the foot of the mountains for visit, and follow the way to Ait Benhaddou ;The famous Kasbah in Morocco a UNESCO World Heritage site, which we visit after lunch. Then we continue to visit Tifiltoute Kasbah and stay overnight in Ouarzazate in the hotel with dinner.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE - SKOURA - AMRIDIL KASBAH - KALLAAT MGOUNA - VALLEY OF ROSES -BOUTGHRARE - DADES GORGES

After breakfast departure to Skoura the road of A Thousand Kasbahs, we visit the magnificent Kasbah Amridil. Then we depart to the Valley of Roses, crossing the Berber villages. Lunch in the Berber house and small walk through the valley of figs, and we reach spectacular Dades Gorges where we spend the night in a guest house.

DAY 3:DADES GORGES - BOUMALNE - TINGHIR - TODGHA GORGES - ARFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA - ERG CHEBBI SAHARA DESERT

After breakfast continue by 4×4 to discover Tinghir a desert town situated in a beautiful palmery before arriving at the magnificent Todgha gorges a popular place for climbers. After visit Todgha Gorges you continue the way towards Merzouga then you pass by Tinjdad located in the beginning of oasis where you have lunch. after taking the road of Erfoud celebrated for its marbles and fossils, Rissani is old capital of Tafilalet and you take the track way towards the desert of Merzouga. Arriving at the bottom of sand dunes you take camel trek (2 hours) till the camp located in the middle of the Erg Chebbi,you see the sunset, mint tea, dinner, animation and night under the tent or open air.

DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI - ZIZ VALLEY - ERRACHIDIA - RICH - MIDELT

After breakfast, departure from Erg Chbbi to Merzouga and Erfoud city known for its marble factories and manufacture of fossils, following the way by the Ziz valley dotted with palm trees and through the gorges of the valley to Errachidia is the capital of Sijlmassa and Rich. Then we arrive in the afternoon to Midelt where we spend the night in the hotel with dinner.

DAY 5: MIDELT - AZROU - IFRANE - FES

After breakfast, we leave Midelt through the mountains and the colurful cedar woods of the middle Atlas mountains by Zad pass (2,178m) ,we arrive to Azrou where we see the handicraft centre specialising in cedar wood, then continuing to Ifrane is a charming ski resort. At the end of the day we arrive to the magical city of Fes. Overnight in riad (traditional Moroccan house).

DAY 6: VISIT FES

After breakfast, get ready to discover the oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city of Morocco, Fes has a lot to offer to its visitors including the Kairouine Mosque, spice market, tanneries and leather market, pottery quarter, henna market, woodcrafters, metal workers, and Koranic schools the Medieval Medina. After an independent lunch explore ancient techniques of the craftsmen. Head back to hotel, Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: FES - MOULAY DRISS - BOLUBILLIS - MEKNES

After breakfast, we start towards Meknes with stops at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Moulay Driss till Meknes where you’ll have independent lunch and visit “the Moroccan Versailles” which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismail. Meknes tour will include “Bab Mansour”, the Hedim Square, the tomb of Moulay Ismail, and the stables. We spend night in typical guest house with dinner.

DAY 8: MEKNES - RABAT - CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we leave Meknes towards the Moroccan political capital city Rabat, we reach to another city Casablanca is the economic city and we visit the big mosque of Hassan II then we have lunch. Back to Marrakech.
