DAY 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT - FES

Mhidi Travel invites you to explore Morocco in very popular 4-day Sahara trip from Casablanca. We pick up from your hotel/riad (traditional Moroccan house) and we departure towards Rabat,capital. Here we explore main sights including Kasbah Mosque, built in 1150 and the oldest mosque in Rabat. We visit also Hassan Tower which was the work of ruler Yacoub al-Mansour and would have been the minaret for his grand vision of a mosque on this site. We explore also the glittering Mausoleum of King Mohamed V. Then we continue to Fes where we visit medina. The medina of Fes el-Bali as is called , is located in old part of Fez. Fez has been founded in the 9th century and home to the oldest university in the world. Overnight stay in local riad (traditional Moroccan house) / hotel , dinner on your own in medina.

DAY 2: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT

Today we departure towards Merzouga desert with a stops in Ifrane, called as the Switzerland of Morocco for its unique architecture. We continue to Azrou where we watch the monkeys in the local cedar forest. After lunch in Midelt (capital of apples), we pass Errachidia and Ziz valley to reach Erfoud (capital of fossils). You may visit a local fossil factory. In Rissani we visit local souk. Once we reach Merzouga desert , we prepare for camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We enjoy camel ride for about 1 hour to reach desert camp where we stay in desert tents. You will watch desert sunset, we will have desert dinner and Berber music at campfire.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI - HIKING IN TODGHA GORGE – DADES GORGES

After watching early desert sunrise we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga village. After breakfast we’ll continue our Morocco journey towards Tinghir, visiting Todgha Gorge , which is the narrowest gorges in Morocco. You will hike along the valley and after lunch we’ll visit the Dades Valley where we stay overnight in local riad (traditional Moroccan house) with dinner included.

DAY 4: Dades Gorges – Ait Benhaddou – MARRAKECH

On the last day we’ll explore Dades Gorges, then we drive towards Ouarzazate passing “Kalaat M'gouna”, we visit Skoura and we visit movie studios in Ouarzazatte ,which is often called as “the Hollywood of Africa” . Then we continue to the famous “Ait Benhaddou” kasbah. It is an UNESCO historical site. We finish our desert Morocco tour in Marrakech passing huge “Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass” at 2260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains. That's the end of our guided Casablanca tour.
